100 Days of Headstand #40: Going Fruity in Far North Queensland

Far North Queensland is unreal when it comes to sourcing fresh, ripe and juicy tropical fruit and we just couldn’t get enough, visiting Rusty’s Market twice in 10 days for a major fruit hauls. The timing of our trip to the tip of Australia couldn’t have been better – every delicious fruit we could get our hands on was in season. Mangoes. Watermelon. Lychee. Bananas. Passionfruit. Pineapple…no Durian this time round, but I already know there’s going to be a next time.

We tried some fresh organic jackfruit that had just been picked from our friend Clinton’s organic farm near Mareeba. If you haven’t tried jackfruit, think hubba bubba bubblegum, times a million. It’s a taste that fills your whole mouth and makes you feel like a kid again, all hyped up on delicious fun.

It had been a while since the last headstand. Thankfully it’s a bit like riding a bike though – you never forget how.
