After bouncing around a couple of towns in interior California, we were undecided where to head next. Death Valley was out of action due to flash flooding, and we weren’t quite ready to return to the coolness of the coast. We’d left Mammoth Lakes earlier than we like because of the recent wildfire’s crazy smoke. So when we woke up in a little motel in Bishop, surrounded by smoke again, I made a surprising call – Vegas baby!
Five hours drive later, we were in busy, hot Vegas. I had ideas to headstand in front of the Bellagio fountains, or the ‘Welcome to Vegas’ sign, but Tahlee was understandably in need of some chill-out time and an early bedtime. So on the 16floor of Planet Hollywood Hotel while she slept, I headstood in our room. Not outrageous like Vegas, but fun nonetheless.
